SL Freebie Hunters: The Purpose Hunt

Welcome!

Hi there and welcome to Freebie Hunters! One of our favorite pastimes in Second Life is scouting the grid for fantastic hunts, sales, events and gifts from all the wonderful creators. We thought we'd share the wealth and showcase some of our finds in this blog, with an emphasis on the goodies available in various SL events and hunts. We do our best to show ALL items from a hunt/event and in the manner the creator intended, but this is not always possible.

***UPDATE August, 2018- We are still finding freebie/nearly free items to share with you, but due to RL time constraints, a lot of what we find is being posted solely on Flickr. The Purpose Hunt

Got another quickie to share as I work through stuff that got set aside when things got so out of whack due to Irma - The Purpose Hunt, hosted by Gardenia Events. This is a paid hunt (5L/gift) but the hunt has a special purpose and a portion of the proceeds are earmarked to help a lovely SL lady named Marie get a service dog to help her with her daily living. You can find more information about Marie and her pup here: Marie's Dog. Each gift in the hunt is 5L, with 4L out of that going to help defray the costs of bringing Marie's service dog home.

There are 39 stores participating in the event, and the official blog has a complete list of stores, slurls and hints. I was fortunate enough to pick up a few of the items (shown below) and intend to do the whole hunt, but I didn't want to delay getting the information out there any longer because this hunt is for such a good cause. This hunt runs until October 3rd, so you have about 2 weeks to complete it.
